We were retained to handle an appeal for our client who was convicted of armed robbery in Fulton County Superior Court.
He was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison. After reviewing the transcripts from the trial, we learned that his former attorney had failed to properly impeach the alleged victim in the case with evidence of his prior felony conviction. We filed an Extraordinary Motion for New Trial alleging that the attorney’s error deprived our client of his right to a fair trial. The court granted our motion and the client’s conviction was vacated.
