After a two-plus year investigation, we were able to convince the FBI and U.S. Attorney's office to dismiss the case prior to any arrest or charges being filed.
Our client was a Senior Analyst for Delta Airlines when FBI agents armed with a search warrant raided his house and seized all of his computers and electronic devices.
The search warrant stated that the agents were searching for evidence of child pornography and child exploitation offenses. Our client was adamant that he was not involved in any such activities.
The client had been using Kik and was in several different group chats where pornography was being exchanged. He stated that the only files that he viewed and/or shared were of adults.
The client was also using the Whisper app to communicate with women. Over a span of several years, he met many adult women on the app with whom he would have sexual discussions and occasionally exchange pictures. When the agents came to his house, they claimed that they had a screenshot of his face from a video chat that he allegedly had with a minor.
First, we sent our client for a polygraph to prove that he was telling the truth about never knowingly possessing child pornography or communicating with minors online. We then had him undergo a psychosexual evaluation to prove that he had no sexual attraction to children.
The results from these examinations was shared with the agents. We also educated them about our client’s impeccable background and character, as well as the internet activities that would be corroborated by the evidence on his devices.
Ultimately, we were able to prove that there was no evidence on our client’s devices showing that he ever intentionally possessed or viewed child pornography or that he communicated with someone he knew to be a minor.
After a lengthy investigation that lasted over two years, we were able to convince the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office to dismiss the case prior to the filing of any charges against our client.
Our client was never arrested so he is now able to go on with his life without any record of this whatsoever.
