This past weekend, GACDL held its annual Fall Seminar at the Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, Georgia. Bernard was invited to speak on the topic of Investigating Computer-Related Evidence. His presentation included an introduction to computer forensics and then provided detailed overviews of File Sharing Networks, Analyzing File Properties, Metadata, Temporary Internet Files, Unallocated Space on the Hard Drive, the Use of Cellebrite and Cell Phone Location Data, Internet History Data, and How to Create Timelines with Computer Data. During the presentation, Bernard was able to show how the use of computer forensics has enabled him to obtain countless dismissals and acquittals for his clients. It is so important for lawyers to know how to use and analyze computer evidence and, more importantly, when to utilize the assistance of a computer forensics expert.
